Geshe Gyalten will present a teaching and meditation on the complete paths, from
ordinary states, where we are now, to the fully awakened state of Buddhahood, within the framework of base, path, and fruits.
Both sutra and tantra assert three essential phases of practice: basis, path, and fruit.
The common basis of both sutra and tantra are the two levels of truth. The common path of both sutra and tantra is the combination of method and wisdom. The common fruit of both sutra and tantra is the resultant form body and dharma body.
The course will also cover the development and cultivation of love, compassion, the Two Bodhicittas (conventional and ultimate minds of enlightenment), the six perfections, and the four resultant bodies of a Buddha (Four Kayas).
Benefits of this presentation:
--Basis to understand the entire teachings of Buddha, particularly the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras.
--Realize all the Buddha’s teachings as one’s personal spiritual instructions.
Gain insight into how to integrate each Dharma into our daily lives.
--Immense accumulation of merit - more benefit and merit than having a vision of deity and reciting hundreds of millions of powerful mantras.
All are welcome.
