For my highly cognitive special needs student with the desire to do as well as anyone accademically, workflow issues arise! Having visual and speech impairment, and quadripelgia, my Cerebral Palsy student and I have found some great work arounds by using a Smartboard and the iPad . Workflow involves, docking our PC laptop to the SMART Board and using the iPad so he can see his assignments. His controls include a bluetooth mouse on his wheelchair. The apps for remote control are Splashtop2, and/or AirPlay for PC. To do presentations and/or complete worksheets, we use apps such as Prezi, ExplainEverything, Textilus Pro, and DropBox.
Can this workaround save your special needs students some time and aggravation?
