Founded in 1867 by the Newark Conference of the United Methodist Church, Centenary College’s academic program integrates a solid liberal arts foundation with a strong career orientation. This mix is designed to provide an educational experience that prepares students to succeed in the increasingly global and interdependent world.
Centenary College’s main campus is located in Hackettstown, N.J., with its equestrian facility in Washington Township (Morris County). The Centenary College School of Professional Studies offers degree programs in two locations: Parsippany and Edison, and at corporate sites throughout New Jersey.
Panels for the Conference include Life After Graduation and Other Professional Opportunities; Marketing and Sponsorships; High School and College Athletics; Internships: Preparing for Job Interviews and Résumé Writing; Sales in Professional Sports; and Event and Facility Operations.
The keynote address will be made by Centenary alumnus Fred Mangione, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, who will discuss how to have a successful career in the sports industry. In addition, he will talk about the transition of the Nets from being a New Jersey team to becoming the Brooklyn Nets.
