As our region begins to recover from the destruction of Hurricane Sandy, conversations about climate change hit even closer to home. Scientists predict that weather patterns will be increasingly unpredictable unless climate change is seriously addressed and alternative energy sources are considered. Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Atmosphere/Energy Program at Stanford University, will present the inaugural lecture of SCEPA's new Economics of Climate Change Speaker Series. His lecture is titled, "Wind, Water and Sunlight: How to Address Global Warming, Air Pollution, and Energy Security."
