In the run-up to the European Elections on 22nd May 2014, immigration and EU free movement will be some of the hottest topics of debate. The debate has been completely polarised in the last years and both sides of the spectrum are not representing the views of the younger generation. This is why MRN has launched the Open Generation project.
Open Generation is for anyone who believes that national boundaries don’t define us. It is for anyone who grew up in a globalised world, who is aware that human fluidity and migration is very much part of our present and especially of our future. We don’t define ourselves by national paradigms and we are open to diversity. Our campaign aims to provide another voice to the UK immigration debate. We are inviting young voters to give their views and to share their experiences of immigration/emigration.
Join us for an evening of photography, video screenings and debate on Thursday the 3rd of April between 6.30 and 9.30. The main event will be held in London and three fringe events are taking place in: Glasgow, Sheffield and Bournemouth
