Chris is the creator of the FreedomCase for Microsoft Surface. Using an innovative folding and attachment mechanisms, the case serves as both an ergonomic adjustable stand and sleek protective case, giving users the freedom to use their Surface anywhere. FreedomCase launches on Kickstarter in February 2014.
Chris Leung is an entrepreneur with a background in software development and engineering. Previously, he developed software for robotic space exploration missions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He also founded Project: Possibility, a non-profit organization that creates free technology for persons with disabilities. In 2008, Chris moved to Shanghai, China to establish USC’s satellite operational management office for its College of Engineering. In 2011, Chris founded Art of Silk, offering the world’s largest selection of affordable silk embroidery art.
Chris holds a BS in Computer Science from UCLA and an MS in Computer Science from USC. Chris was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and, for the past six years, spent most of his time living in China. Chris loves getting his hands dirty and building things from the ground-up, whether it be protective cases or companies.
