Charles Du Jeu is the founder of Pydio (formerly ajaXplorer), the mature open source alternative to Dropbox and Box.com, for the Enterprise.
In 2007, IT reasearch engineer turned professional pianist Charles Du Jeu develops an open source alternative to FTP to share music with his Reggae band members. Pydio (then ajaXplorer) successfully runs on Windows IIs and most UNIX OSes.
In 2012, Pydio reaches 300,000 downloads, and a community grows out of alerts on Dropbox security vulnerabilities and increasing data security concerns.
In 2013, Charles decides to turn an FTP replacement garage project into a commercial open source Dropbox replacement – now adopted by Apple, Trend Micro, Nikon, Tecnica, Seagate and many others around the world.
Charles still enjoys playing piano once in a while… a little Reggae, and mostly jazz standards.
