An entrepreneur by trade and storyteller by heart, Sam told stories in print and film before making a successful leap to interactive narrative. He was the Founder and Editor of the youth magazine N.O.W. - Nothing Official Within, Founder and Head Writer of the content writing firm The Creative Quill, and Producer of the award-winning short film Tumbling After. After exiting from his previous startups, he worked at various digital media and video game studios before founding Victory Square Games, where he now serves as CEO and Creative Lead.
Sam has produced mobile apps for the United Nations, developed business models and distribution strategies for multi-million dollar digital media projects, and through Victory Square Games and its subsidiary, Boximals Studios, has led led the production of over 12 casual mobile games. Sam is currently working on a narrative-based adventure game that he hopes will take the world by storm in late 2014.
Sam routinely gives talks at Vancouver Film School’s Entertainment Business Management program, and enjoys a game of golf at any given point of time. Initially a college dropout, he later became an Erasmus Scholar and now holds a Bachelors in literature and philosophy from Freie Universität, Berlin.
