The School Finance Partnership (SFP) is a diverse group of education leaders, education reform advocates, elected officials and business leaders formed in the spring of 2011. The purpose of the SFP is to examine how Colorado currently funds its public schools and to propose innovative recommendations to the state’s policymakers for a comprehensive overhaul of Colorado’s school funding system. Reilly and Jennifer will share the outcomes of the SFP, highlight the relevance to children birth to age 8, and facilitate a discussion about SFP recommendations in the 2013 Legislative Session.

The Early Childhood Cost Model has been updated and upgraded under the auspices of the Early Childhood Leadership Commission. Colin will share and demonstrate the purpose and utility of this interactive tool, facilitate a discussion of how the tool can be used by organizations and coalitions, and provide information on how partners can use the tool in their work. Please bring a laptop to participate in a live demonstration of the tool.
