Born and raised in small-town Alberta, JindaLee is a self-taught artist. While living and travelling around the world, she picked up guitar and piano and soon thereafter the songs began to flow. It was after moving to Montreal in 2004 that JindaLee began playing small shows, 'zine launches and alternative performance events, which soon led to her own shows at cafés and larger venues. In 2007, she spent several months completing her full-length debut album Strangers' Lives. The album has been featured on CBC radio and various university/college stations across Canada. Since then, JindaLee has been actively collaborating with other musicians - adding diversity and depth to her compositions. Her ability to span genres is evident in the distinct nuances of her music. In 2009, with the support of a band, she toured through Alberta, British Columbia, Washington State and Oregon. JindaLee spent a year living in Japan, where she has had the opportunity to perform various shows at collaborative art events and outdoor festivals. She has also performed benefit shows in both Vancouver and Hiroshima. Her interest in travel, art, philosophy and people has inspired her lyrics. During the summer of 2010, JindaLee returned to Europe to perform and collaborate with musicians in Spain, Germany and Scotland. During her travels JindaLee had the pleasure of meeting and working with a number of great artists, many of whom she hopes to continue to work with on future albums.
