In the wake of the Presidential election, passage of the American Taxpayer Relief Act and overall drawn out budget debates in Congress, LULAC continues to address the greatest injustices facing Latinos in the U.S. LULAC’s policy priorities include: (1) the state of health among Latinos and the impact of health disparities in their health outcomes; (2) innovative and traditional ways to approach comprehensive immigration reform now that the political environment has changed; and, (3) reforming our education system to effectively address the growing Latino student population. LULAC National President Margaret Moran will speak about how to move LULAC’s agenda forward with a vision for overcoming these challenges.
