For four decades performance artist Marina Abramović has used her own body as a medium, pushing herself beyond her limits. After her landmark retrospective at MoMA in 2010, she collaborated with director Robert Wilson, singer-composer Antony Hegarty and performer Willem Dafoe, to create an experimental opera based on her biography. The work, “The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic,” will be performed at Luminato in Toronto June 14-17. Hear her talk about her work, the collaboration and the future of performance art.
