The Department of the Interior, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King King in the department’s annual MLK Observance. This year’s theme is “Building on the Dream: Shaping the Future of a New Generation.”
Our key note speaker will be Ms. Deryl McKissack, Founder and CEO of McKissack and McKissack, the firm that served as the Architect of Record for the construction of the MLK National Memorial. Ms. McKissack will share her compelling personal story. She will also describe how she achieved the dream as envisioned by Dr. King, which includes her firm’s connection to the MLK Memorial.
